Resolving Email Issues
| 1. Everyone at my location can't get or receive emails Go to A for suggested solution | |
| 2. Some people at my location can send and receive emails, others can't send or receive Go to B for suggested solution | |
| 3. I can receive emails but can't send Go to C for suggested solution | |
| 4. We are not receiving emails from a specific email account Go to D for suggested solution | |
| 5. We can't sent emails to a specific email account Go to E for suggested solution | |
| 6. We get email bounce messages Go to F for suggested solution | |
| A. 1. Check your internet connection by
going on to website that has active content e.g www.nytimes.com. If it comes up
with current data your connection is
functional 2. Check your website. If it isn't displaying go on www.whois.sc and enter your website's URL to check your website registration status. If your website registrarion has expired renew the registration. Your website and email will be functional in about one hour 3. If 1 and 2 are OK then check your IP address. Get your IP by going on www.whatismyip.com. Your IP address will display. Call LPH at 949-497-8716 and provide the IP number. We will check if your IP address is being blocked. To protect you and all the other users on our servers if someone tries to log on with the wrong password too many times the IP that they are accessing our servers from gets blocked. |

| B. The fact that some email accounts are
working and others aren't means there is a problem with the local email
set up for the computers not getting their eamils 1. Restart Outlook (or other email program) and test 2. Restart computer and test 3. Remove Outlook (or other email program) account, restart computer recreate the email account and test If none of the above solves your email problem on the computers with this email issue contact your IT person |

| C. 1. Check the outgoing (SMTP) port. It
should be 587 . If not cchange to port 587 and save the change. 2. Test by trying to send an email 3. If the above doesn't solve your email problem contact your IT person |

| D 1. Check your spam folder to assure that you
didn't receive the email 2. Send the person whose email isn't being received an email and ask him/her to respond. They may have an incorrect email address 3. If you still don't receive emails from that account have the sender check with their email provider to assure their email server isn't on a spam list |

| E. 1. You may have an incorrect email
address. Ask theperson you are trying to send an email to to send you
and email that you can then respond to.
2. If you still can't send an email send a support request to support@lphinternetservices.com with your email address and the person's email address you want to send to |

| F. 1. Carefully READ the bounce message. It will tell you what is wrong and why the email bounced. If there is an error code look it up on Google to get more information. |
