How to set up an email account in
Outlook 2010 in several step

Email set-up information is provided as a courtesy to LPH hosting services clients. If (after following the instructions) you are not able to set-up your email account, please consult Microsoft Outlook Help. Or contact your IT person. LPH doesn't charge fees for assisting with setting up/editing of customer operated software and consequently doesn't have the staff in place to provide that service.

Please note   the information required to set up an email account in Outlook is the same  (regardless of the version.) However , placement of the fill in boxes may vary from version to version.

Begin setting up an Outlook email account by opening Outlook.

  • Go to the 'File' tab
  • Go to the 'Info' section

  • Click on 'Account Settings'
  • Click the drop-down button titled 'Account Settings...'

Set up New Account
  • Click on New

Enter or edit the information completely as shown below. Then click on
More Settings

Select the Outgoing Servers Tab

Click on My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication & use same
settings as my incoming mail server. Click OK.

Select the Advanced Tab / Select port 443 for IMAP or 995 for POP3 / Select port 587 for both IMAP and POP3. Important: Also select TLS for encryption for both incoing and outgoing ports.

Click on the next button
